How to get to Normandy:

 

 

Option 1 : Paris to Normandy by train  (2 hours 20 min)

 

Paris Saint Lazare train station to Caen train station : 2 hours 20 minutes (about 50 dollars round trip)

If trains are fully booked online, you can always buy a ticket on the platform on the same day, but you won’t be guaranteed a seat ;)

 

Right in front of the Caen train station, you will find every major car rental, including Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar and Dollar. Hertz/Thifty is not as convenient as the other companies because you will need to walk a few blocks from the Caen train station.Choose “Caen - Place de la Gare” as your pick up car rental location. Make sure NOT to book your car from the “Caen - Carpiquet” Airport. 

 

Please note - Our wedding venue is about a 25 minutes drive from the Caen train station, but as the station trolley is currently under construction it may take a little longer.

 

Option 2 : Paris to Normandy by car (3 hours)

 

If you decide to drive,  we recommend renting a car from the western districts of Paris. Try the “Gare Montparnasse” or “Porte d’Orléans” pick-up stations.

 

Please be aware of radar enforced speed limits and potential traffic jams on your way back on Sunday, as people will be returning from their holidays to Paris.
